Under fifty square metres is a format where every decision shows. Zones have to overlap, storage has to be built in, and circulation is counted in centimetres; that is why small apartments in a portfolio usually read their planning logic more clearly than large ones.
At this floor area the layout that usually wins is one where furniture and storage are built into the plan from the start rather than chosen afterwards. Circulation, cupboard depth and the position of the bathroom matter more here than decorative devices.
