A penthouse usually differs from the other apartments in a building not only in area but in geometry: a non-standard footprint, access to a roof or terrace, a different character of glazing. The plan in such units is almost always bespoke.
A home of this size allows the daytime and private parts to be separated, which makes a buffer entrance hall, a separate guest washroom and storage placed outside the bedrooms worth having.
