An apartment for a family with children is a project where the plan serves daily routine: children's rooms, the shared area, storage and the bathroom all have to take everyday load. At this floor area that is a matter of compromises rather than of space.
Storage at this floor area usually goes into built-in wardrobes along blank walls: a separate pantry is a luxury here, and a walk-in closet normally takes its area from the bedroom. A second washroom, if one is needed, is settled at the same stage.
