A coffee shop is a short-cycle format: a guest comes to the counter, waits for the drink, and then either sits down or leaves. In projects like this the counter and the queue in front of it take the central place, and seating adapts to them.
In small venues every metre of the hall competes with the production area, so the number of seats is usually whatever is left once the equipment is placed. The gap between tables and the route to the washroom are among the first things calculated.
